EXPERIENCES
2016- 2017
Volunteered for teenage art club at Beverly Hills Public Library
The Friends of the Beverly Hills Public Library is a non-profit organization dedicated to the Library's tradition of service to the community.
I volunteered for the teenage art club at Beverly Hills Public Library. I prepared art materials for the kids' art classes and helped develop new projects, such as creating a Christmas crown.
2017- 2018
Beverly Hills Academic Tutoring Program
As a tutor, I would often help young children with math and art homework. I had to consider their mood and had to focus on teaching them in interesting and unique ways. After class, I would also write down each specific characteristic of the kids so that I could understand them better.
2018 - PRESENT
Beverly Hills NAHS Club member
National Art Honors Society by BHHS was a studio art education for high school students to help other students attain their highest potential in all forms of visual art and raise awareness of art education throughout the school and community.
As a NAHS member, I received opportunities for publication in the NAHS News, receive scholarships, and have my art recognized nationally. For instance, I would design club logos or school posters. I also participated at all art contests hosted by the school every year.
EARLY 2020 - PRESENT
Volunteer at Petersen Museum
Petersen provided an excellent way to experience the museum, interact with visitors from around the world, and support the community. The Museum's Education Team sought out enthusiastic, outgoing, and dedicated people to join their pit crew.
I volunteered at the kids area because there was an art class where I am able to help kids to draw and paint cars. There was also a light table where we decided which car to draw then trace together. On the side, there were lego pieces that we could build a mini car and play together. From this volunteering experience, I helped out programs and as staff assistants. Also, I met many volunteers, staff, and visitors who also have an interest in art and love spending time at the Museum.
EARLY 2020 - PRESENT
Volunteer at West LA Animal Shelter
I volunteered to make a difference in the lives of abandoned and orphaned animals. By socializing and engaging with others, we tried our best to find permanent homes for these animals. The goal to reduce mercy killing and increase adoption rates.
I would play with the dogs, cats, and rabbits, clean the cages and fill them with blankets or newspapers, and organize the training time information on the board. I would also explain each animal's situation and personality to the visitors to promote adoption.
LATE 2019 - PRESENT

I was part of the design team that came up with ideas, and designed the products and website. For instance, we made and designed various products, such as hand sanitizers and jewelry. We researched and sold the products and donated the funds to local organizations.

AUGUST 14, 2020
Comfort Women
I volunteered for the CARE Comfort Women Action for Redress and Education program. Inspired by the testimony of Kim Hak Sun, they created a project to commemorate the 7th Anniversary of the Glendale Peace Monument.
With an empty chair sitting on my side, I read a document about comfort women. I videotaped myself and sent it to the program and they edited and uploaded it on youtube so more people could learn about the comfort
women.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CmD-1qoWlwQ&feature=share (1:21)
